2020 there are Rainbow Trout in the Okanogan! Pulled out quite a few in the little lakes around here. Social fishtancing during Covid ran into some really cool and I interesting people. Funny enough the 14 ft Jon boat, new seat, fish finder, and new electric trolling motor were nice, but I landed all my fish from shore, bottom fishing with a Carolina slip sinker rig, 3 to 4 foot leader, small hook, and sherbert power bait. Hope to hunt the local area primarily on my property… maybe even with a personally handmade bow! More on bowmaking and my bowyer journey on my Archery page.
Also will be salmon fishing with my father and brother in Puget Sound in my dad’s new retirement toy 24ft North River, which is a heavy duty aluminum fishing boat where we caught the fish below in the summer of 2019. Summer of 2020 went for Halibut in the Sound, but only came back with a few Flounder and small Sand Dabs.
